The black and white flipper was composed of four different black and white compositions. Each composition was attached to a surface, and then all combined to make a flipper. When the flipper is turned different ways, different compositions are made up. Different Gestalt principles are combines together to make an interesting design. In the first image, continuation and radial continuation were combined, making visually interesting piece. The triangles appear to be coming out of the inside of the radial design. Movement is found from the center to the top right. The second image, figure ground and closure were combined. Two half circles meet at the center of the image, and numerous other shapes are shown. The combination of different sizes and shapes adds variety to the piece.
